Volunteering at Mitchell Farm
How rewarding is it to know that your efforts (large or small) are really making a difference. At Mitchell Farm, our volunteers get back all that they offer. Our farm is a peaceful getaway to enjoy on the weekends or during the week.
We help volunteers with or without experience learn how to handle and care for the elderly horse. Many of our horses have special needs, which require extra time and energy. This is where our volunteers are so needed, they not only help with the turn-out, feeding & cleaning duties, but they also get involved with the general health and well being of each horse.
We hope that you contact us if you're interested in becoming a volunteer. Our general meeting time is on the weekends from 8 a.m till breakfast is served by Hank (always a treat after getting dirty on the farm).
