     To provide a safe and comfortable retirement alternative for aged and infirm horses to live out their lives and to

     offer educational opportunities on equine welfare

~ Received IRS 501(c)3 status September 28, 2005

~ Fully accredited by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries in 2012

~ Accredited by The Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance

~ Permanent sanctuary given to over 112 horses in 19 years

~ Named as a Connecticut Horse Farm of Environmental Distinction

~ In 2018 received Governor's Proclamation declaring the third week in May as Connecticut Older Horse Week

~ We subscribe to the AAEP Care Guidelines for Rescue and Retirement Facilities and to the standards of the Global

    Federation of Animal Sanctuaries
